About Us

Pu’uhale Elementary strives to enrich the quality of community life by providing students and staff an environment that is safe, nurturing and caring. The school is committed to maintaining effective communication, goal-oriented teamwork and data-driven planning focused on student achievement. Pu’uhale Elementary provides literacy, math, science and technology supports, as well as programs to develop students’ artistic abilities. Parents, volunteers and neighboring businesses work side by side in supporting the school and students. Pu’uhale Elementary is among six schools in the Farrington Complex that have applied for a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant​. According to the Hawai’i DOE, the Strive HI system is “Hawai’i’s school accountability and improvement system is designed to meet the needs of students, educators and schools. It aligns and connects our key state education policies and initiatives to position students and educators for success and uses data to measure progress and target resources.” More information on Strive HI can be found here.
